Roles and Responsibilities R&D Head - Steel/Iron Industry
New Product Development R&D for Steel/Aluminum/Iron Manufacturing Industry.
- Leading the cross functional team.
- Design and development of pump series as per market requirement.
- Involved in full lifecycle design of centrifugal pumps from scratch.
- Concept Design Family Curves/ International Standards.
- Hydraulic Design Hydraulic Calculation, Hydraulic Design (Volute, Impeller, Inlet Passages), CFD, Performance Curve Prediction.
- Mechanical Design Axial/Radial Thrust Calculation/Reduction, Bearing Selection, Shaft Design, Thickness calculations, Flanges, Mechanical seal, Stuffing Box design, Material Selection, Component Standardization,International Standards, General Arrangement, Solid Modeling/ Drawings preparation and release for Prototyping (3D printing).
- Support to manufacturing during Prototyping.
- Prototype testing and validation & ; Publish final performance curves in dolphin pump selection package.
- Support to marketing department for Product launch in market.
- Exposure inMetallurgy, Design, Development Quality, Heat Treatment, Forging, Failure analysis Product and Process, Project Management, Testing & Validation knowledge.
- Strategic Planning & Organizational Leadership
- VA/VE /Process Enhancement/Cost Saving.
- Design Thinking & Engineering Problem Solving, DOE, FMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
- Knowledge on Homologation certification / Testing approval and extension for products.
- Strong leadership skills to coordinate, oversee and lead team members.
- Ability to adapt and succeed in the task assigned by Management and proven on various assignment.

- Extensive exposure in Project Management and Organizational Management
- Knowledge to trouble shoot issues in various processes (Heat-treatment, forging, forming, spinning, flow-forming, welding and assembly)
- Highly Organized & Strong Analytical Abilities for Quick Problem Resolution & Decision Making
- Managing projects within budget limits
- Proven ability to handle different goal oriented projects
- Sound Knowledge in NABL ISO/IEC 17025, EMS ISO 14001& Safety systems
Translate business objectives and corresponding plans to define a brand strategy with a compelling value Benchmarking / Pilot Plant development/formulation of food products
Product Testing - Physical, Chemical & Microbiological testing of foods.
Preparation of SOPs for new products
Transfer technology and regulatory functional inputs to manufacturing.
Resolve manufacturing formulation, processing, and manufacturing issues on daily basis.
Conduct projects to improve plant costs, product margins, quality and business excellence goals in product and process-related fields.
Keeping a keen eye on market launches, mapping products to understand the market trend, and proactively developing new concepts.
Guiding and providing documentation for process stages in Quality Control especially during the implementation.
Good hands on experience on quality control instruments
Design recipes in development phase to ensure that nutritional parameters are met before recipe is finalized
Implementing steps for curtailing product/ process rejections and defects, Carry out proximate analysis, nutritional evaluation, shelf life and microbiological evaluation
Plant and execute scale- up trials at pilot plant and factory level.
Design & formulation of products
Vendor development to achieve innovation in ingredient and process and any other entrepreneurial task.
Work in collaboration with private partner companies
Monitoring statutory compliance with specification for in-house and external formulation.
