General Manager to Vice President Commercial for Chemical Industry


Requirement -General Manager to Vice President Commercial for Corporate Office

The candidate must have experience in large Chemical manufacturing unit.

  • He should posses experience in overall commercial activities like Accounts, Costing, Purchase, GST, Logistics, Stores, Raw Material & other applicable Taxes & its returns in a large cotton spinning mills.
  • The candidate should posses good negotiation abilities, good liaisoning skills and hands-on experience in computerized environment in ERP by generating various control reports.
  • A candidate with a strong background in Accounts & Costing shall be preferred. Should Expertise in handling the entire gamut of activities related to SCM such as sourcing, vendor development, techno-commercial negotiations, quality control, logistics, etc.

Hands-on experience in managing finalization, negotiation, development & implementation of key procurement strategies/contingency plans with vendors for materials/products

Proficient in supervising & controlling the logistics processes & services at vendors end & providing valuable suggestions for efficiency enhancement

Significant exposure in carrying out procurement management activities involving planning, techno-commercial negotiations, and arranging & acquiring components, materials & services from various sources

Excellence in spearheading entire service operations along with the implementation of various techniques for improving the process operations; managing dispatch operations and dealing with transporters for timely delivery & quality

An effective communicator with honed interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and motivational skills

  • Sourcing, Ordering and Warehousing Management of Raw Materials, Maintenance of Spares
  • Selection & Finalisation of Yearly Logistics Contracts for all Raw Materials / Spares on Pan India basis.
  • Inventory Management of Stores & Spares
  • Disposal of Scrap Materials
  • Development of New Vendors and Contractors
  • Development procedures on Export-Import documentation
  • Building up of Supplier/Contractors relationship
  • Finalization of Annual Rate Contracts &Maintenance Contracts for Equipment Maintenance
  • Streamlining & Integration of Purchase and Stores Activities
  • Development & Presentation of MIS Reports to Management
  • Preparation of Budget & Costing Analysis in SAP

  • Planning, negotiation, control and direction to all Sections of Commercial Deptt.
  • Candidate will be responsible for complete preparation Profit & Loss Account including Cost Accounting & Management Information System to the higher management for Unit on weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • He will also be responsible for statutory compliance of Government like GST and other applicable Taxes at Unit level.
  • He will also be responsible for commercial activities including Purchase, Stores, Raw Materials, Sales execution etc.
  • Indenting, Inquiry, comparison and finalization of purchase orders for Stores, Spares and packing materials. Control of cost of purchase.
  • Co-ordination with respective users & department for requirement of Imports and urgent purchase.
  • Vendor development and development of alternative sources.
  • Maintenance of statutory cost accounts and get these audited. Statutory returns and submission of data to Govt. bodies.
  • To administrate IT, Auxiliaries devices and ERP activities in coordination with H.O.
